Mexico 2024

After an absence of nearly two decades, AIJA is set to make a return to Mexico City for the 2024 Half-Year May Conference! From May 29 to June 1, 2024, the vibrant city, often referred to as “The City of Palaces,” will serve as the host for this eagerly anticipated event.

Mexico City stands as a symbol of the harmonious coexistence of history and modernity, making it an ideal setting for a conference dedicated to exploring the evolving dynamics between the law and the digital economy. The academic agenda is carefully curated to delve into the latest trends, theories, and research, with a particular focus on their implications for legal professionals in their everyday practice.

The conference venue is strategically located in the financial heart of Mexico City, renowned for its top-notch facilities, stunning architectural landmarks, and world-class accommodation options. Surrounding the venue, attendees will find an abundance of cultural attractions, including museums and galleries showcasing over 4,500 years of Latin American and global history.

Under the theme of “Law in the Times of the Digital Economy,” the academic program will be divided into two distinct tracks. The first track will examine “Transactions in the Age of Technology,” featuring discussions on cutting-edge topics such as AI, blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and smart contracts. Meanwhile, the second track will explore “The Impact of the Digital Economy in our Daily Lives,” shedding light on how the digital economy influences various aspects of commerce, public interest, regulation, and policy, encompassing areas such as environmental concerns, healthcare, indigenous rights, traditional knowledge, and consumers’ rights.
